First Nations 2022 expedition invites you to a press conference on October 29, 2021 at 10:30 am at the Laviolette Cultural Complex in Trois-Rivières, for the launch of a winter expedition project of more than 4,500 km which will take place between February 16 2022 and March 5, 2022.
Several Chiefs and dignitaries of several indigenous nations of Quebec will be present at this press conference in order to support this expedition project of the great sacred fire, which consists in raising awareness and reconciling all the peoples of mother earth.
This project brings together more than 60 participants and collaborators including 7 aboriginal nations: Atikamekw, Anishinabe, Cree, Innu, Inuit, Mohawk, Naskapi and some non-natives of Quebec. Most will be present on October 29 and 30 for expedition preparation training followed by a fundraising banquet to raise funds and to mark this major event.
